Important update! Following comment from “Bee ShopCS”, while putting left driveshaft into place, instead of hitting on a brake disc, if you are struggling to insert spline into wheel bearing – insert outer joint first (because it’s easier to align splines while the other end is loose), and then connect inner joint, but make sure that it’s all sits straight and you don’t break the thread.

Thank you! Really appreciate your detailed videos. Funny enough I'm also based in Bristol. I have a 2012 7n dsg 48k. I noticed a grumbling noise at low speeds. sounds like it's from transmission or engine vibration. Is this normal for the sharan? I'm wondering if it maybe a the dmf issue?

hi buddy great video and you have a good partner that will help you with the car how can you tell if the clutch is on its way out my sharan 55 plate 1.9 tdi as done 133000 miles i am getting a some rattle and slight knock sound when you start it and the sound seams to be coming from the clutch housing the car on but on tick over its sort of noisy but when you rev the sounds goes lower ,

I had my clutch / flywheel replaced and after I got it back it now makes a loud vibrating sound.. especially in first / second gear at low revs… sounds like something is loose?.. could it be they damaged the engine mounts / exhaust mounts when they replaced the clutch?

Thank you for the nice video but you did 2 mistakes hit on the brake disc and fixing the driveshaft should be the outer joint the hub first than the inner side

You don't need to take off the lower ball joint and track rod. There is that much room you can push the shaft back far enough to get the cv joint out of the hub. Nice vid.

Flywheel seemed to be fine, although I don't know what is the exact procedure of checking it properly, but driving felt ok, like there is nothing wrong, no judder. I only had the noise while pressing and releasing clutch and originally I wanted to replace just clutch and release bearing. But, I didn't know what brand was my clutch and flywheel and I wanted to do it in one go, and considering my mileage (146.000 miles = 234963 km), the guy from VW car parts shop also told me the "stories" and convinced me to get new flywheel as well.
