In this Episode we Install a pair of Extended Travel GM Struts from a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix on the Overland Suzuki Sidekick Build. This is in no way a professional installation by any means but rather the efforts of an avid “do-it-yourselfer”.
We Tackle the camber issues and make some custom parts to assist in the install as well as the set-up of the wheel camber. The idea behind the longer travel shocks is to complement and work in conjunction with the 2” Budget Lift and the 2” Body lift installed some years ago.
The Goal is to enhance the off-road capabilities of the little Sidekick as it explores and discovers hidden adventures off-road in the Arizona Desert over varied terrain conditions that challenge even the most accomplished of Off-Roaders.
So climb in and let’s watch Cal attempt to “Stick Weld” for the first time ever as he shares his own unique style and shares some secret welding tips.

Awesome video. I have a 92 2dr. With a 2" puck and 2" body. I might just have to try this out. Are you running stock coils with that puck lift?

@willie6185 says:

Those wheels look like deep dish ( American Racing) wheels. Wish I had 5 of those for my side kick. Does anyone have a part number on those? Our law 1 has wheels simulator to those but I don’t know if they have the deep dish. Outlaw 2’s are similar also but don’t have the holes in them.

Great job. I’m about to do a Homemade 4” Lift in my 1990 Tracker.
I bought the same Grand Prix struts that u recommended in one of your earlier videos.
