Gently loosening the tab with a flathead as someone else mentioned above helps. But perhaps the biggest tip came when I watched for the third time – watch how he puts his right hand on a top tab on the side. Once I positioned the righr hand there on the side, the top tabs became very easy to undo after gently loosening with a screwdriver.
