There should be a sticker in the engine compartment that has this information too. It’s usually on the frame around the radiator when you open the hood. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
What is the desired gap for these spark plugs? I looked in the owners manual but didn’t see it.
If there’s a check engine light on, you may want to pull the code to see what it’s pointing to. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Hello, my 2003 Passat randomly die on me when I stop a light or stop sign and then i can turn it right back on and drive again. Do have any idea what causing this problem?
You will have to check the resistance inside the coil. Normally when coil goes bad, the resistance changes from the OEM specs.
how can you test whether a coil has failed?
Hi 1AAuto – thank you for this video!

That was really helpful, thanks a lot!!! Has just changed spark plugs in my Passat, no problems.
You do not need to change the coil with every spark plug change. If the coil starts to act up on you then you may want to change it. Thanks for visiting us on YouTube.
Why did you install a new coil? Is this necessary every plug change with these cars?
You may be able to get it out with a magnet. Hope this helps you out.

wow, what happens if you drop the socket in the hole?!
We show you how to use a piece of paper towel to help keep the spark plug in the socket if it’s worn out.
What tool was used to put the spark plug back in? Did you say a magnet? Do you have to use that? Thank you for the vids
