Yes that is the blower motor, yes the fan for the heater.
Is the procedure the same for the 01′ Jetta with a 5speed manual? Blew my
core up and dumped inside the car lol oops
I’m always amazed at how much work a heater core can be. Guides like this
are priceless, for those of use who don’t do it every day. Thanks.
Is that the fan for the heater at 7:45?
and the rest of the story??
shops should use a time guide, which has most every job on a car and the
time it should take to do it. This is likely around 8 hours.
how much should someone charge to replace?
dis-connecting the battery should take care of that. wait about 15 minutes
after dis-connecting.
Do not buy cheap heater core. That wont heat up nothing like original. My
experience.
Tomorrow I will replace my heater core to my Jetta. This video is going to
be so helpful 🙂
Did you have to deactivate the airbag before removing the top of the
steering wheel?
Yea I had a buddy print me up the Mitchell instructios for it and its the
same exept I have the manual tranny. I’m in for a treat with this project.
Good thing you have this vid up should help a ton. So much stuff that can
break taking this thing apart haha, thanks for the vid man!
I compared a few things and it looks the same, at least the image they show
is the same for both years. Best to say watch the videos and take a look at
your car and see how much the same or how different they are.
vw jetta heater core part 2 search for that, or go on my channel and search
through the videos. Part 2 has been up.
