Thanks – needed that! Hey you can actually take the battery out too once you open the case 😉 Just press on the coin cell in the middle of the key and the other side pops up so you can grab it. To insert the battery slide it under the tabs. Then snap the cover back on as shown. Beware – never test emissions when your VW is in use.
