2 people filled up the replacement filter with petrol lol
Is there a way to distinguish if it’s your injector pump, or the fuel filter is bad?
Excellent, step-by-step demo. I now have the confidence to change mine (just ordered the fuel filter)! Thanks!!!
thanks mate that was realy helpfull to a novice like me,i had no idea to put diesel into new filter before replacing it as too keep air out and helps to start engine better,my first time with audi a4 b5 w reg its old but i like it i hear changing rear rotors and brake pads is gonna be tricky tho for a novice like me, thanks again great info and details
Nice job explaining and great use of the camera to show all the important parts involved. With your help, I feel confident that I can do this as a DIY job. Thanks!
robinsonauto could you just leave off the line on the filter output and turn the ingition on and off a few times to prime the filter before hooking up completely? just in case your doing it on the side of the freeway and dont have fuel on you?
Thank you very much, this will help!
Will replace my fuel filter tomorow!
thank you for sharing your information about how to replace a diesel fuel filter in a Jetta and also thank you for the brief explanation how that whole systems works and how important it is not to have a air leak in the system
was hoping to have an insert, but I guess I have to change the whole unit
Thanks again, really appreciated. Great work
2 Questions.
1. When filling the new fuel filter with Diesel, is it okay to use the fuel that remains in the old fuel filter?
2. Is there a relay you have to pull to lessen pressure from the pump before undoing the lines?
Great job!! I will have to subscribe to see more VW TDi videos
Can you do one on the turbocharger Upkeep and how to know when it needs to be changed Thanks

Thanks so much and your explanations are awesome. I look for your videos daily
Thanks for the vids. You dont have to apologize for lack of vids we know how busy you are. I did timing belt, water pump and other stuff on lexus IS300, my friend said, “lets film it,” I said, ” lets just git r done.” I wish I would have filmed it, it would have been the only one, I think. I am looking forward to your toolbox “tour” you promised me though.
Great channel and videos, well done 🙂
easy diy with your demo.
on a gasoline filter last time i change mine i was told to take the fuse out to bleed pressure, i didnt see any pressure built up on this one? why?
Thanks for your videos. I always look forward to them and love your step-by-step approach outlining the location, fasteners, & tools needed.
Would it be a good idea to lubricate the o-rings with diesel before reinstalling to keep them from binding?
Thank you for the feedback
