zzzdogutube says:

Chris, my last VW was a 68 and someone put a high performance clutch in
which took a lot of force to depress. What happen was the brackets which
holds the tube that the cable runs through inside the center frame broke
due to the added force I assume.

I really enjoyed the instructions. It’s been awhile since working with
VW’s, but now that my son has gotten back into them, the pointers will be
put to good use. He has a ’66 Panel Bus and Double Cab transport. Should
you have any opportunities to give pointers in that area, they will be
appreciated.
