Hey Pete, first OF all you rock, thanks for doing What you do.. Um
secondly, would you mind sharing what color green your Maxwell is, I like
it and am thiking about painting my truck. DONT KNOW TONS ABOUT PAINTING
BUT ID LIKE TO be able to go to the paint store with some info to find that
green. Like the two tone so if you could throw in the brown info too that
would be really cool. mAYBE ILL TOTLALLY COPY YOU,anyway keep up thre good

What I did is cut the front of the filter off at an angle sloping down from
top to bottom in the front of the filter, then cut and bent the top cover
so it matched the filter and clamped it down using the clips the aircleaner
came with.. It’s hard to explain but if you can imagine what Im talking
about it’s pretty simple. Take it easy Pete
Hey Pete i have a small question but it has nothing to do with vapor
lock… I have a 73 super beetle(I know super beetles suck) it has a stock
1600 dual port, I swap my 34pict for a progressive like urs… My question
is, How do u get the deck lid to shut all the way because of the air filter
on the progressive?
You got it.. If the world ends all this technology will go to the crapper
but my little bug will keep ticking away.

I agree with Minnie, a 10k upgrade show cover that.
Minnie, hard at it taping up a car. Like a second job after doing the
books, takin care of the home, making sure the bills get paid and sanding
cars. When ya get to a video like this Pete, ya should be puttin in some
background music like “My Girl” by the Temptations. Maxwell may be YOUR BOY
but Minnie is surely YOUR GIRL. She’s right. 10 grand and they don’t know
enough to reroute that line makes me wonder how they knew enough to place
the gaps on the piston rings in their proper orientation.

Hey Pete. New sub here. Slowly getting through your vids. God only knows
how you ended up with a wonderful woman like Minnie. Make sure you don’t
make her mad enough to leave you. You’ll never find anybody else to put up
with your guff. Keep up the great vids. They’ve gotten me off my ass to

Yeah and ya know where to get that wet rag? Open the hood of your car on a
nice hot Texas day and sit infront of it for 5 minutes, your sweat will be
pouring off of you so fast you can wet 10 rags with it….
The best thing Hitler ever did was had the bug designed for the people to
be able to own their own car, just like a henry ford.. Hitler did some
horrible things but the bug was not one of them… Hitler could have been a
good guy if he didnt kill people the way he did… so smart but so stupid

MINDY IS SOO RIGHT!!!…..these days mechanics just want to collect your
money and not figure out what else should be done or use their brains and
common sense or experience if they have some to do the job completely
correct and get er done right!…so u dont come back period. Lazy brains
and non experienced is what u are buying today. Just my 2 cents and thats

Thanks to vapor locking, I think I pushed my bug more than I drove it!
Still love it thought – that’s why I’m still trying to put it back together
20 years later! Thanks for the information, I’ll make sure to put that fuel
line in the right place.
