Barbara Just occasionally help out a friend here and there. Been all the
way to the other side of the world to help out a brother hot rodder. This
VW belongs to a friend. He was getting ready to get shafted by a shop that
wanted $2,800 to do this. I did it for the fun of it. He was appreciative.
Our target is to begin part 2 on December 16th. Should go quickly. I will
post the video once I complete the edit.

Thanks for this demonstration. Can’t wait for Part 2. My VW 63 bus has same
problem, mostly front grill rotting but not quite as bad as the one you’re
working on. Do you do these restorations professionally or is this just
your personal bus project? Thanks.

Nice job, but next time you should consider wearing a mask to protect your
lungs and also a drop cloth or something to protect the interior. Those
white seats don’t really look so good with burn marks.

Could you post up the install video if you still have it? I need to do this
to the front of our 73 which at the moment is more or less made of Bondo.

Where did you find your replacement panels for the 73. I just recently
acquired the 73 Station Wagon T2. I’m not sure how extensive the rust is,
but I think I will need at least 1 drivers side rear panel.
