Roberto J Paez says:

It's a very hard work

Mike Fn Garage says:

Great job. I probably would have did a full bend on the bottom to an L…then on the backside where the metal reached the new cross member I would have done an L bend there too. which would have made it easier to weld and grind. But it is fine it will be strong and last the way you did it. No worries you cant even see it once the seat is in there anyway.

An uneducated question: isn’t the other side of the metal sheet prone to oxidation as it is not treated or painted?

Randy Becnel says:

Nice work! I would prime and paint the insides. You will wish you did later. IMO!

No Name says:

Was me, I'd primer it then paint it!

Mr VW Beetle says:

Nice work CT. I wish you lived a little close to me id have u do some welding for me I need my package tray and rear seat are put in that's the only thing that is stopping me from finishing my beetle. After u get ur welding done I'd would have the whole thing sandblasted put on a nice fresh coat of paint
