I've never understood new cars when you can get such great deals on used stuff. Get something unique and interesting I say. New cars just don't overall appeal to me I guess. Tech makes them worse in a lot of ways.

@keithburch8997 says:

Klauss Schwab say no regular people should be driving in 15yrs. Secret govt controls…

@SupraSav says:

I keep leaning back to vehicles before 2010. Before electronics became too bloated and too invasive.

They are trying to make ICE vehicles unaffordable so everyone is driving a vehicle they can turn off with the push of a button.

@branislavjakubovic4973 says:

Mine 2004 chevy doesnt have power windows or even alarm, and I`m sure that todays crap for 60grand plus, its not more expensive because they have a little motor actuator from china :))))), frankly with todays prices i should get a frame from alloy magnesium ultralight composits and carbon fiber only materials, instead all newer crap from say 2018, is rusted more that mine 2004 detroit junker clutter 🙂

@user-zh9kc7tw4n says:

The governments are mandating a number of technologies and gadgets as well which are adding to the cost of cars to make the road safer

@Khabbas says:

Yaaay planned obsolescence…

@louisrauzi3872 says:

Luddites rule.

@louisrauzi3872 says:

There'll never be a basic no frills car again. Manufacturers make money on the upsell of loaded cars.

@jgrab1 says:

Cars twenty years ago and even thirty years ago had radios, power windows and doors, et al. Your claim is ridiculous.

@user-zh9kc7tw4n says:

Electrified cars uses a lot more materials that is also in demand and use even more materials so driving up the prices too

@jgrab1 says:

This video just begs the question. All the things you cite that are going up…WHY are they going up? They had the pandemic as an excuse but that is long over. Why haven't prices returned to pre-pandemic levels? That has not been answered anywhere. So videos like this just kick the can to another source.

@davidw4151 says:

No power steering too.

@chawenhalo0089 says:

My first car was my mom's Golf MK1 GTi convertible with a Karmann big body kit (Rabbit in USA?). No power steering, no electric windows, no ABS and of course a reluctant 2nd gear. It was good car to learn on. For instance having the wheels roll slightly so that you can turn the steering wheel easier. My wife still has a 1992 Mini, 1300 carbs and all. Costs an average of €400 every year for repairs. Great town car. Wouldn't give up my NX just for the comfort. Bang on regarding to 10yrs ago, cars are way more comfortable now.

@Amuro89 says:

You said the problem is "You and Me". Well…that is just a general way to put it. I DO NOT need all these technology. It is just maybe majority of ppl want them.

@TheHouseofSniffers says:

The government forced companies to reduce carbon footprint, now suvs are running on 4 cylinder turbos on premium gas getting the same gas mileage as yesterday's 6 cylinders on regular..

@user-fo4ls4wq3l says:

You are WRONG WRONG WRONG …. I have attempted to order a GMC with … none of that KRAP …. with a standard transmission and.. GM refuses to produce a truck without all that krap… steel steering wheel…no , cloth seats .. no no stupid computer screen — on clear glass — no //// roll down windows are NOT available in a truck… Also video screens .. mandatory etc… SO…. GM and the other jerks…. ford chrysler … etc…. will not PRODUCE a vehicle without all that JUNK that adds at least 25,000 dollars extra to a vehicle. P.S. We see that your GOD Toyota forgot how to produce a 4 cylinder engine…. they a blowing up the bottom cranks at less than 10,000 miles…. and the prices are up at least 25% …. not to mention dealer "pen and ink" charges.

@richardbeckmann6720 says:

That's why I will keep my 04 Yokon Denali and my 04 Jeep cherokee Wj Till they turn to dust.

@Harrybollox says:

The legacy manufacturers are pricing themselves out of the market, just as a flood of cheap cars turns up from China (albeit via cloaks and daggers in USA) . I don’t want to buy a Chinese brand instead of say a Toyota, but I’ll have to , not because I can’t afford it, but because I’m not going to be gouged

@r2stik says:

used car. 3 year old, under 100000km, for a 20000.- ??? ITS NOT NORMAL.

@rugged9769 says:

Expensive yet shitty quality in the case of Toyota TTV6. They don’t make good cars anymore

@BigBear-- says:

Everyone riding the bus/train, and not owning cars, is the lefts wet dream. Just stay within your job/home radius, and don't you dare go anywhere. Sooo much easier to control then…

@BigBear-- says:

I would love a return of double DIN dash boards. If you wanted more "functionality" then you always had a ton of options to tailor that to what you needed. From just great sounding simple head units, to full on large touch navigation computers with a ton of apps, features, etc. I hate progress for progress sake…when something was already working great.

@raziqafg says:

Move to Mexico. Save a bunch in labor. Go to a 4cylinder from a v6. Save a bunch on material. Filled the thing with cheap plastic another saving. Move to TNGA platform save a bunch more. Then charge a crap load more.

@BigBear-- says:

We can ABSOLUTELY do something about the emission requirements. Vote for the correct representatives in government that actually have more than 1 brain cell. Which usually negates about 99.9999999% of the left/Democrats.
