This is too much work dam why can't we go back to the older radios
I cannot believe this actually worked!!! Many blessings to you sir
That’s a lot a work lol
thanks brother easy to do thank you a ton !!!!!
I fixed mine but over winter it happened again non lead solder is what they used need to remove the old and use lead with smd soldering iron. Real junk. These radios
I'm gonna try this! Thank you
Did you have to disconnect the negative battery cable before or anything?
Bruh…. The smoke detector got my ass tho. I’m going to try this now
@YaBoyCai …….no music for 6 months and now it works!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!
You doing the LORDS work with this video!!!! Dude I’ve been rolling for just over a year in silence… been so sad man. Your video was so easy to follow and it worked!!!! IT WORKED! Thank you man! So grateful for you!
Havent tried this yet , im going to. Some say after you do this epoxy the chip down.
Thanks, man! This worked on my 2012 Dodge Avenger. I used a hair dryer with an aluminum foil funnel and heat up the chip for a good couple of minutes. You got Venmo?
2016 jeep wrangler sport s. Used a combination of a lighter candle and then a hair dryer, pressed down with wooden chop sticks. Worked like a charm. Thank you so much.
How do you not hear that smoke detector is telling you that you need to replace the 9 volt battery?
This 100% worked for me! I had no radio for almost 2 years and now it works again!!! Thanks
Thanks for the video, I took my 2012 compass radio apart, used a blue point butane soldering pencil with the heat gun attachment, followed your instructions and it works now. WOW, so simple!
I tried that, and it got much better, but it still kept "skipping" once every 10-20 minutes. So I took it appart again, and tried just a tad more, and this time, instead, it keeps volume movable beetween 0 and 1, so can't hear anythign, and it's the same for all modes (radio, cd, aux). Tried several times, same result. Any suggestions on what to do next?
What are you actually doing ? Are you heating up the solder ? What fixed it !
Will this work on my 2016 jeep compass latitude
