Joel Aichner says:

Think it was a 1985 Honda Civic , body style change year , old one was a 1984 , 4 speed ,he got a new one , 5 speed , they only came with one motor option then , he took it cross country to California to visit his brother , Gramps never lied ! Said he got 56 mpg on the interstate , he was impressed ! His old one only got like 44 mpg , isn’t technology Wonderful ? Buy a Pedal Car ! Prepare in advance ! Get a Caddy

Deven Mellor says:

I prefer the Civic as its interior is more refined and has a more powerful and just as efficient of an engine. The Civic also has better handling. The only downside to the Civic is frequent AC issues, especially with the 10th gen.

Owlcoat says:

Just bought a '23 Corolla Hatch SE. I had a 2012 FJ for a couple years. Prior to that I had a 2012 Yaris. So far I love this Corolla. I've always preferred hatchbacks to sedans and, though I loved the FJ, it was my dream vehicle, the FJ was a toy. This feels and rides almost exactly like my old Yaris. A little longer in front, but essentially the same car. And that's a great thing.

Semiam1 says:

I want a video where we are shocked about Struts and…Shocks.

RandomGamerCory says:

i learned to drive with cvts so automatics feel weird to me. always feels like its hunting for the right gear

gone fishing says:

Scotty, what do you think of the latest Prius?

North By Northwest says:

Scotty mentioned this in this video and I have to agree,Make sure your Japanese brand car ,,Toyota or Honda has a final assembly in Japan.Assembly plants in Japan has no rival in quality assembly assurance.

Victor Boucher says:

Shocking indeed.

Marvin says:

No wonder the car industry is moving towards electric….Scotty shocks it everyday

Vahid Mosallanejad says:

I drove Corolla cross hybrid. Lots of pickup power . I can not see any problem with E-CVT

Franco A. says:

Too small for my taste, my Prius V will hold much more cargo and you can camp overnight on the beach with it.

Anish Shrestha says:

Made in Japan? Manual? Toyota?

When we go extinct, we can leave this behind to communicate our technology to the next generation of mammals.

Mick D says:

If EVs were so safe they would have few fires to cover up, ever so religiously …

That one in the Luton (UK) carpark last week, that the Presstitutes ALL said "was a diesel", yeah, a HYBRID diesel Range Rover – and it was the battery that caused all the devastation. The fire was located EXACLTY where the battery is located.
That fact is clearly shown in the security video of the fire.

Sure, cars catch fire, especially in the movies – however …
There's NO escaping the fact that a Lithium Ion battery releases its own Oxygen as it burns and burns 1000 degrees C HOTTER than a petrol or diesel fire in the open air does.

When concrete is melted in a vehicle fire, you can be certain that it was not the liquid fuel that caused a ferocious and uncontrollable fire. It was the battery.

I WON'T even consider one, now the truth is coming out.

alexander kennedy says:

man that things ugly. what happened to car design

christopher chisholm says:

i really love the way toyota CVTs feel in their hybrids. usually i absolutely hate regular automatics because they never feel like they shift when i want them to. i've never tried a non-hybrid cvt though. i'll take either manual or a cvt for that reason alone

MashoneNBK says:

I would love to see Scotty in a Toyota GR Corolla.

Buff Barnaby says:

TBH I'm tired of shifting. Why have a trans at all, they all go out eventually, and are there because ICE, does not provide max torque instantly, like a BEV.

JOHNSONman84 says:

Every once and a while I think your going to start talking like the macho man

Michael Lipken says:

I found out the suburu I tried and my moms civic is a cvt . Honestly I didn’t see much of a difference although I’m leaning towards Mazda cause the quality seems better and they’re more fun to drive . But do cvts really not last as long ?

sealand000 says:

CVTs are cheaper to make, but will cost you more to buy. Perfect combination!

Buff Barnaby says:

Always wondered why COP ignition they always go bad, Plug-top systems increase the number of coils required, increase the heat that these coils must survive and thus require more sophisticated and expensive materials to survive routine usage. HEAT!!!
I'll stick with my wasted-spark ignition that has lasted 21.5 years.

Scuba says:

Looks terrible.
