Toyota Transmission Shudder Problem Fixed #tccnautomotive #toyota #carrepair

I tear this 2012 Toyota Camry apart for a common torque converter shudder problem affecting 2012-2014 Camry and 2013-2015 Toyota RAV4. I Remove the engine to replace the torque converter which is easier than removing the transmission,Then I remove the transmission pan to clean it and install additional magnets to catch the debris. Then I put the engine back in, add new fluids and she’s all fixed Watch the full video on my channel on this issues for more details :

Battle Circuit Garage. says:

When I do these I drop the cross member from one side. And get the torque convertor out pretty quick. But pulling the engine is interesting also. I'll have to try it that way. Thank you.

Camm GT3RS says:

it's amazing that some of late model Audis are more reliable than some Toyotas.

Camm GT3RS says:

I thought Toyota was a reliable car that could be bought blindfolded.

FirstPersonGamer says:

I have a 2014 Camry with 160k miles on it and the transmission fluid has never been changed. Wondering if you think it’s ok to go ahead and do a fluid change to try and get some new fluid in there. Currently the tranny shifts perfectly fine doesn’t seem like it’s slipping at all. Thanks!

Kenneth Collier says:

I use the stuff call transmission shudder fix a red 2 oz tube haven't had a problem yet

Jamie says:

What did you charge for the job?

hector cabrera says:

Why in the fu— you guys remove the engine , i can do tha job in 3 hrs just moving the tranny back and hold it with the sub frame

Jhony6760 says:

Can you talk more about the software update? How can that prevent this from happening?

AuroraGw2 says:

Dream car in the back

Adrian Newman says:

I would have pulled the tranny out. I've pulled a few of those out

Zero Cool says:

Factory headers, nice…

Dee Yatzie says:

All the money you save to buy a cheap car end up costing more.

Anthony J Barbuto Jr Barbuto says:

That’s not the way you do it just remove the transmission so simple that’s what Toyota technicians do

Gary says:

I have the same problem on my 2020 Toyota Camry with 165,000 miles vibration coming from the transmission torque converter

Brad of Astoria Oregon says:

Do this to a Subaru , but put the toyota engine back instead .

Drum Corps Lot says:

Sadly, Toyota no longer covers this maintenance under warranty/recall. I missed the cutoff date by 2 months as it ended the date of car’s manufacture + 8 years. (Mine was February 2012, therefore after February 2020 it’s no longer covered.) I paid $2400 for this repair at a Toyota dealership in April 2020. I was hesitant because of price, but I have had no issues since.

James McLachlan says:

Only Toyota would fit factory tube header to a camry…

Haris Young says:

Why did you remove the engines ? i had done transmission swap on camry before, engine bay got a lot of space to just remove the trans without pulling out the engines.. if i remember it only take less than an hour to pull the trans completely from the car.
