Scotty, my freind has a Honda CR-V with 150k on it. The engine light is on. It was taken to a dealership and they ran a diagnostic test. They said the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. I have not noticed any issues while driving the car. They quoted over 3K. Does it make sense that that could be the issue?
It will NEVER end Tesla's influence inside California….there will always be CALI millionaires with too much money to spend on Teslas….but I agree that Tesla is doomed in the other 49 states.
Batteries are evil technology. We don't need them. We shouldn't carry so much energy in our vehicles. You pull from overhead wires, ground coils or directly from the ether, which was demonstrated by the real Tesla in 1898.

We had a new Chrysler minivan years ago that started just shutting off sporadically like once or twice a week sitting in traffic. We took it to the dealer and they had it for weeks trying to replicate the failure so they could see the data. It never did it from them so I picked it up and while I'm driving it out of their parking lot it died. They hung onto it for another week but still could never figure it out. But we knew it was a faulty computer. We tried to just live with it. But when when it started doing it when my wife was driving 65 on the highway with the kids in heavy traffic – that was it. Traded it and will never buy a Dodge / Chrysler product ever again. It's a shame because when they run their minivans are really nice.
Yeah but it still comes out the tailpipe. Like a hamster wheel.

The fact there is no good coming from an electric vehicle is funny!!! Nothing the Democrats have ever done has worked out. They want electric vehicles…you know it is a disaster!!! Forget electric vehicles…they will be gone within 20 years. Technology will find something better within 7 years!!

I live in PA and always took my engine covers off. I currently own 3 Audi's and they no longer have them!
Those German Luxury cars put all the high tech available on their cars because they can and they don't care if the tech is reliable or not. Also, they like to use plastics
I worked on a 2000 BMW 323i that had vents in the hood. Someone had pulled the beauty covers off the motor and rainwater filled the spark plug holes and ruined the coils. So they are useful sometimes.
I wish Scotty will be revive when the times cars are flying.
I am a Toyota enthusiast, but I think they are too late. Ford and VW will dominate the market. That prototype will be here in USA in 3-4 years from now.
