Toyota CEO: “This New Engine Will Destroy The Entire EV Industry!”

Toyota is cooking up something new in their garage! And it’s not just any ordinary vehicle. We’re talking about a brand new, revolutionary hydrogen vehicle! So, you may have heard about the Mirai, the hydrogen-powered Toyota vehicle that uses fuel cells to generate electricity. But now, Toyota has come up with something completely different. They’re calling it the new hydrogen combustion engine.

In today’s video we look at Toyota CEO: “This New Engine Will Destroy The Entire EV Industry!”

Can we drink that water? Then we need not buy bottled water.

reinmansmith says:

Check out what JCB have been doing with their engines powered by Hydrogen

The Wise Person says:

It is easier to recycle Toyota's new motor technology than EV's. Lithium batteries of EV's are very difficult to recycle.

The Wise Person says:

Bravo Toyota – an impressive remarkable company and manufacturer. Well done !

The Wise Person says:

Lithium batteries are a severe combustion risk. There are many examples of spontaneous infernos resulting from failed Lithium batteries (including toxic Lithium organic solvents).

Area 53 says:

Hydrogen is some scary stuff, the lightest element is almost impossible to fully contain and requires serious compression to get enough density to make it useful compuding the storage problems. It's also odourless and unless LPG won't take an additive to introduce an indicator of a leak. It also doesn't exist naturally on the planet, it's locked up in chemicals like water which requires electrically intensive processes to liberate hydrogen from and most hydrogen is produced using fossil fuels as it's the most efficient means.

It's not the answer.

Robert Lucas says:

You're only fooling yourself and there is a good reason why the gas-powered combustible engine has been used for decades. Great knowledgeable men of the past have already explored such things as electric and hydrogen and their usefulness and drawbacks. Individuals should learn from history also you do not have to take my word just do your research.

Flash Washington says:

Un factual click bait.

Jack Ket says:

There are diehard people who does not want to give up on internal combustion or explosion powerful engines, especially the motocyclists and the large power sport or racing cars. I agree with these people that after driving a silent EV for while we will be sleepy and bored of it on the road.

Welshdog says:

Hydrogen is odorless, so you have no way of detecting a leak. Methane is also odorless, but we learned (the hard way after many fire and explosion deaths) that we could put an odorant in it, allowing us to detect it with our noses. By doing that natural gas has become relatively safe. Right now, there has been only a little discussion of hydrogen odorization, and there might be reasons it can't be done at all. That would prevent it from ever being used in consumer vehicles.

Toyota gonna kick Elon to curb! w his arrogant behavior and unreliable Tesla

Austin Kennedy says:

Little do people no that the world will die no matter what we “do” to stop it.. this is all a farce. We are a world of children who don’t know reality… only a select few actually know the reality..

soy reeng says:

But how much to fill up a hydrogen car vs a gas car

Tony Gbaya says:

Got to love Toyota, a manufacturer that actually understands that EV is just the new fad that everyone's jumping on to. Funny to me that people charge EV cars using coal power planets and they think it's green. As a total petrolhead, I'm actually considering a hydrogen car.

Bill From the 442nd trans company says:

I’d like to see a water powered engine, to make electricity, which can power the car. My problem is, people think it’s not possible?

Bill From the 442nd trans company says:

Joe and the Dems are in too deep to wind and solar to let these actually be sold!

Alan Perry says:

Brilliant if true.ev is not the way forward I hope this isn't a case of B S

warren hymes says:

Toyota is rolling out 3 new EVs, so I think they are here to stay.

frozenrobert says:

Actual real-life title of this video: "This New Engine Will Destroy Toyota's Global Business Model!" H2 fuelled engines are far less efficient than actual fuel cells or electric cars. This entire concept makes very little sense. See Engineering Explained for a quick & easy explanation: https://youtube.com/shorts/c253-J6pzPk?feature=share

Money Matters Canada says:

Now we are talking a real future technology. No more battery toy cars!!

Rishabh SINGH - 30 says:

It’s way better than EV’s.
