I don't know where Scotty finds 500 dollar Toyota's vs 7k dealer cars…. I'd like to know cuz in my area 500 dollars doesn't get you a wheel set.
It is okay to buy a used Toyota from someone who lives in Tennessee. They are honest, but do not buy from anybody who lives in Texas. The best thing to do is to buy a used Toyota at CarMax. At CarMax they check everything on the vehicle they are selling. They usually put on new tires, front brake pads, battery, wiper blades and anything else needing repair. So when you drive that CarMax Toyota Corolla home, you know you have a vehicle that will run without any major issues for many years. I would specifically recommend the 2013 Toyota Corolla with the 5 speed manual transmission. Among top mechanics this model is known as THE TANK. It is true that you may spend a few thousand dollars not for it at CarMax, but this is not the time to pinch pennies. Remember that you cannot take money with you, but a Corolla will last forever!
If you pay with cash most people will take it.
I bought a camry worth 17k i got em down to straight 15k
There’s no sales tax with a private seller. And I always offer at least 500-1000 less than asking price with a private seller if they don’t take it I move on because there are thousands of used cars and not many people willing to pay 15k cash for a car so good luck

LS is garbage! There are way better engines out there for half the price that can do the same power. Hell even half the engine cylinders can do the same.
Scotty, i am getting a 2004 chevy trailblazer Lt 2×4 with only 40k miles (I know the history of car and is for sure only 40k) it was a family friends vehicle.. I'm practicality getting it free and needs some TLC due to a a insurance company totaled it.( Cosmetic damage only to rear passanger door and frame. Only about $1500 in parts, New tires etc. This will be my beater car to haul dogs on the weekend and to keep salt off my new 2020 toyta corolla and rav4. I'm no GM fan but man these old chevys are actually built decent. Engine is perfect shape. Anything you've came across for problem on the inline 6 4.2 engines?
Start Buying a 94' Celica instead; That's if you can even still find one online.
Only time i got a good deal at a dealer is when a salesman made a mistake of taking a Cadillac in on trade and being in Europe there is not too many buyers for it so he got in trobule and just wanted out of it.

I drive a Toyota Corolla that is 1998 with less than 60,000 miles. Never liked these cars until I purchased one as it was sourced by a friend. Drive it like a lunatic too!
Good luck test driving a type r. They only order them upon sale.
