You know David, I can’t speak for the group, but I can definitely speak for me. I’m here because you’re the expert because you’re the professional and because overtime you’ve done something that I’ve never experienced with an automotive professional, you’ve gained my trust. And if I ever get to drive across this beautiful country and something goes wrong, I know who I’m calling. So let the ‘Mary’s’, in the audience say whatever they want to say, nobody’s listening to them.

And the weird mix of SAE and metric on American trucks. Just saw a second generation Hilux still driving. 72-78

R Hood says:

not much rust because it's been coated in oil!!

Gary DeBro says:

Yeeck…those headlights are AWFUL

Spanners Auto and Computer services says:

These and 4runners mechanicals last forever! Frame rust is the only rear enemy

I have a 1992 sr5 Hilux (Tecoma in the USA?)450000klm 2.8D front diff seal leak, but it's a keeper 4 sure!! Yes u will never find another one!!!

Jacob Bergeron says:

I bought my 08 tacoma for 10k, and it has great maintenance records. Engine has 230k

DeJarvis Linder says:

Keep the Toyota content coming!! I own a 06 xB with 250k miles and it runs like new no knocking, smoking or leaking and hvac controls work great! Very reliable vehicle

The Fresh Prince of Belgrade says:

Justifying a brand new vehicle when your current one can sustain you with just a little repair doesn’t make sense. Total interest on new cars alone these days can repair a few of these.

2K says:

I'm a fan because you and Scotty Kilmer are honest about cars and their problems.

Keith Rhymer says:

Keep on preaching Toyota Truth Mr. Wizard Sir. In my almost 60 years I have owned lots of cars and trucks Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Honda, Etc. Most were good vehicles but some were terrible. Now I own Greatness a 1998 Toyota Tacoma SR5 with a 2.7 four banger 5 speed manual 271,000 miles and a 2006 Toyota Tundra X-SP 4 door with a 4.7 V-8 Automatic 232,000 miles. They are the best two vehicles I have ever owned. I have done very little other than routine maintenance to both of them. I know some people may get tired of hearing about how good there quality is but if you ever own one you may end up like my I wouldn't own anything else! By the way I love your channel keep up the good work

RedHopster says:

At this point you're better off putting in $4000 on your current car than paying $400-$600 a month for 4 years.

Wesley Dubé says:

Keep pushing Toyota! Love it

Rational Reaper says:

Well worth it.
One of our cars is a 1982 RA60 Celica, with the two litre four and a 5 speed manual, with factory air con. We’ve owned it since early 2008, buying it off the original owner, when it had 80,000km on it. It now has 220,000km on it. The only major work was when I decided to do the valve stem seals. Otherwise it’s a great little car and when I bought a new Mustang ecoboost a year or so ago (after seeing the Wizards video on one), we kept the old Celica and will put it on club registration. It’s just been too good a car and too reliable to get rid of. It’s been on long and short trips, it’s been through the baking inland Queensland Aussie summers with no problems. We love the old girl.

Bilal Ahmed says:

As much as I love European makes and models, especially BMW and Audi. I got respect and love for Toyota and Lexus as well. They are just very well built cars that will run forever with the proper minimal upkeep. The only issue, I hate is the CVT transmission in some of them.
