Shawn Dickmann says:

He got a good deal, that'll go another 300,000 miles.

Dakota Kline says:

He should replace that timing belt asap.

Etube2022 says:

Sonu singh says:

Hey I have mustang 2015 premiere caboose I have problem is doing misfire

Aaron M. says:

Yep – my brother has that generation of Tundra – loves it. He normally cycles through vehicles every 3 or 4 years; that Tundra is the only vehicle he's ever kept. He's never had to put any money into it other than general maintenance for the 15 years or so he had it (bought it used back then).

Michael Buerhaus says:

My brother has a 2001 with much higher mileage that has been put through the ringer but still keeps moving along as his daily driver.

gingernutpreacher says:

If you see Scotty's finger in the car don't buy it

Calvin Crouch says:

Scotty could you do A primer on use of scan tool use and what the parameter readings should be for different tests the tool performs. I doy know where to look to find this info. I try to get whatever I. Can from your videos. Thank

Valor_X says:

My 2001 Tacoma also has faded paint and scratches but that's why I got it for $3k cash.
Like Scotty said beater trucks are the best because you don't worry about extra dings or scratches and actually use it like a truck.
Old Toyota trucks are the perfect beaters

ExtremeRecluse says:

I will never by any Toyota without an underbody inspection.

israel garrido says:

Bought my dad's fleet 02 tundra 330miles . Changing the brakes n rotars today

Duncan Donuts says:

i think if ur looking for a cheaper reliable and heavy vehicle that doesn't necessarily have to be a pickup, go ahead and look for old sequoias. they go for significantly cheaper and are basically the same thing without a bed

ExtremeRecluse says:

I had a 95 T-100. Toyota screwed me and 1000's of other loyal Toyota customers. My control arms collapsed simultaneously from rot. I was going around 50MPH when they gave way. My engine only had 110,000, so I pulled it and bought a 2002 4Runner. When the 220,000 mile engine blows, I will swap it.

Brad Davis says:

Scotty for President

Kevin Young says:

I have an '02 4WD V8 SR5 long bed Tundra that I bought in '03 when it had 17,000 miles on it, it is my dedicated work truck that has been incredibly reliable. It will have 188,000 miles on it pretty soon, and I will do what it takes to keep my rust free work horse going for many years to come. Spending money to maintain & repair this truck is a far better option than replacing it with another newer used truck… I recently had the PS pump rebuilt because it began to leak and clog after I added some AT-205 Seal Leak Stopper to the reservoir. BTW, those pumps have been discontinued by Toyota.

Rick G says:

Many years ago I was told when you are looking for a used car you check the radio stations that were pre-set, if was tuned to rock or county music the car has been abused.

Mike Payne says:

SR5 stood for soft ride five speed (manual).

Car Stuff says:

Time for a 5.7I iForce V8 swap.

Toyotas & Fords says:

I have a 2000 Tundra with 274,XXX Miles, 0 Wear in any of my seats, And my Drive D Bulb is still lit up when in Drive gear! Truck looks like its only got about 180,000 miles unless you look at the mileage!

Paine IntheAss says:

Great episode Scotty!
