Hey man thanks for the video really helps I just got one of these
What’s the size of your speaker?
You can bust out the old ones like you see in the video or you use the
adapters. There is no way to install without doing one or the other.
I ha e amplified the front speakers and the power is too great for the
factory units. So long story short, higher power more accurate front
channels werey preference.
There is a second part to this video that I will be posting soon.
The front speakers are components that come with both mid range driver
(woofer), separate tweeter, and a crossover to split the frequencies. I
chose Aura audio, which is now out of business, but they sound great.
I posted it, but youtube corrupted the file and it will not play. I have
been looking for it on my drive, but I may have deleted it. I will reply if
I can find it.
Thanks, I’m from Chile and I don’t sell them in stores… but thaks for
answer…
Make sure to watch the part 2 video.
Either one, but 6.5 if you use a speaker adapter. You can them on
Crutchfield or eBay.
I know you have reasons, but did you remove the front speakers to add some
lows to the front? Because I have the exact same car, and all I do is make
sure the front speakers do not receive freqs below 80khz, And I seem to be
more than happy with the sound quality in the car. I have mids under both
the front passenger and driver seats. Just to cover it a bit. But in my
personal opinion, the front speakers do not need touching, their quality is
far beyond what toyota used to have.
What is the wattage? Ohm rating? on the front speakers?
Thanks mike where did you find tweeters for your ride
I’ll make the removing the rear speaker video today and have it up tonight
You sure can
Hey mike I just bought 6/12 front speakers do I need to install speakers
adapters or can I install my speakers on factory one
Did you post part 2 yet?
Damn flu, feeling better today. I’ll shoot the video tomorrow
Stock or aftermarket? Aftermarket 4 ohm, 50RMS
Still no luck finding it. I used 1 hour silicone, the stuff you use in the
bathroom with a caulking gun and that’s all. I used a screw to hold the
speaker in place. The silcome allows the speaker to float in the mount and
results in no rattles and i believe a better sound. The smell from the
drying silicone goes away after a few days, just keep your windows cracked.
Sorry, give me another day, the wife has the flu
How is the new speaker secured in, is it just held with the silicone around
the edge? If you can find part 2 that would be great.
JBL system
it’s speakers 6″ or 6.5″?… I wish replace stock speakers and i don’t know
how….
You could, but it does not hold as well and maybe messier. Give it a shot,
be careful not to burn yourself.
Can I fit 6″ speakers in the front utilizing the stock adapter?
Awsome I have a desert sand corolla I want to put speakers in and this vid
helped me alot thanks bro
I’m sorry, I have nothing on the JBL system.
Dude please make a video on how to do the rear speakers…i just bought
rear 6×9’s for my 2011 LE and wanted to do the install myself but i dont
want to rip apart my back paneling and mess it up. If you know how can you
please make a video doing them!?
Can you just use hot glue?
