When first oil-change ? 5,000 ?? 1,000 ?? Forget about $ just what is best ! And why.

xekret says:

I have a 2003 Corolla and bought it with 227,000 miles. The previous owner told me he used synthetic and I continued to do so. I recently switched over to Toyota filters since they are available at WalMart which is convenient. I stick to changing it every 5,000 miles as you stated.

Just found Your channel, GREAT STUFF! I hope I’m not too far off topic, I own a 20 Tacoma TRD off-road,manual states to grease the “propeller joints” aka universal joints per 5K which sounds excessive for regularly used vehicles. Than I found out there isn’t any zerks on the units. The question I have is, how many miles on average sealed greased universal joints last when not abused? Thank You!

Ning Ning says:

hi may i know my toyota alphard 2018 2ar-fe 2.5cc,use what oil?because alot of dealer give us use 5w-30 or 5w40..izzit correct?

Manny Mak says:

I have Toyota Camry 2019 my oil is ow 16 I like change it every 3000 mile is that ok too. THE MORE CHANGE IS BETTER OR WORSE?

Nick Kundrat says:

What’s your take on the TRD oil filters? Worth the extra $ if I plan on keeping the truck as long as I did my previous one?

G CR says:

How do you feel about the trd oil filters over the standard toyota oil filters? Seems to me they would filter a higher percentage of the oil as they are sealed with o-rings on top and bottom. Just bought a new Tacoma and I think I will use the trd oil filters and change oil every 5k or 6 months, it makes sense to me but I would like to know your professional opinion on the trd filters. Do they filter the oil better? Thank you, love the chanel, I appreciate the great advice and tutorials.

David Bergman says:

2017 Corolla LE, I've seen that some use cartridge and some use spin-on aside from jacking up the car and looking which one is used on this Toyota? Also does the 2018 Camry use a spin on? What's the filter type for it as well?
Thanks. I truly enjoy your videos. I hope you will get into videos on actual "how too" for repairs on Carollas and Camrys as well.

We love what you do for us Toyota AND Car Care Nut. Thank you.

Genaro Vargas says:

Very big fan of these videos you have given me the confidence to change my trans fluid on my 08 Camry hybrid just like your series showed thank you bless you for your advice!

Gary sanderson says:

Hi…. great video, thank you for the wealth of knowledge shared about toyota vehicles. I have a question…what is the best conventional oil brand for 2011 tacoma 4.0 engine? And can synthetic be used?

Alex Anabolic says:

I am listening to this, but for my Impreza!

goldpilgrim says:

What is the right oil filter for 2021 Rav4 LE hybrid? I'm confused between Toyota YZZF1 , YZZF2 , Fram 4967 and Bosh 3311.
Thanks.

Dave Swartz says:

First, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I recently bought a 09 RAV 4 Basic and really enjoy driving it. So far I think the only problem is the sensor in tire two is starting to fail. Which way are the tires counted? Will I need to have them programed? Thanks again, your channel is awesome.

Asaf Farfar says:

Great tips.

Howard says:

Went to the Don Valley North Toyota dealership today for an oil change on my car with 7500km, and the service guys told me 16k intervals for the new Rav4s on 0w-16… and that the new Toyota’s are designed to go that far without an oil change..

Then they told me bmw and Mercedes now can go 20k without an oil change lol east for them to say when it’s not their cars

Debra Reinhardt says:

2018 rav4 gas engine is the transmission filter a media or mesh ? thanks Art

I love your videos very helpful thank you

jhz55 says:

On my 2015 v6 Tacoma, I use synthetic 5w-30 oil. Can I switch back to conventional oil? thanks.

Vincent Scales says:

I was changing my oil on my 2016 Camry SE at 10,000 miles, because I drive about 9,000 a year! But after checking my oil once a month I've notice after 7 to 8 months the oil would be at the low mark and the oil would be light brown. At some point soon I'll have to change my oil at 5,000 miles!

Robert Keefer says:

I get my RAV4 stuff from Toyota Parts Deal.com. All genuine OEM parts. They are in the Los Angeles area.

Jeremy Webb says:

Great channel!

Richard Khaw says:

Enjoy your videos. My car uses 4.5Litres. Can I use the same grade of 4L one brand and 0.5L of my previous remainder brand? Thanks

Mike Brzoska says:

Not a fan of the paper filter and cartridge but that’s the direction the engineers went. To save the most money on filters I bought them by the case and will definitely use them all.

Mike Brzoska says:

Next oil change definitely going to go for the 0W 20 GF6-A oil. This is backwards compatible and not just for the 0W 16 oil. That is GF6-B

SolicitedCrib4 says:

Hey AMD, great video and great channel overall! Keep up the fantastic job! Seeing that you answering questions here, what do you think about oil change intervals on the hybrids? Do you still recommend 5,000 miles/6 months, considering the fact that the combustion engine doesn't run all the time?
