the door key on the drivers side of my 99 corolla has become difficult to
turn. it now won’t turn so i have to get in through the passenger side. i
tried graphite powder and it doesnt help. my key works for the other door
and still starts the car no problem. what should i do?
GREAT VIDEO! One of the few VERY helpful videos out there for a 98 Corolla.
I still need help, tho…. My Corolla’s DS door is missing parts- can’t
find them anywhere; the pop-in arm rest pad (gray), the screws behind it,
and lastly, that same plastic screw that went flying in this video. eBay &
local junk yards don’t have em, & it’s too hard to list to on-line recycle
parts dealers who want to sell me an whole door panel w/o screws. Anyone
know where I can get these parts?

The lock may have gone bad, unless a rod has become bound up on this inside
of the door. You take the door panel off and see if they look out of place

Well mine doesn’t have the power windows it has the manual crank so I can’t
figure that out
