Great video!
Probably stupid question but do you just leave the factory wire coming from
the head unit unplugged from the speackers? And just make a new wire to the
amp?
Hahaa dont get cheap ….
Yes, this head unit has a remote input for steering wheel controls. I used
the Metra Axxess adapter that is preprogrammed with the controls, see Amazon
the ground loop suppressor isnt really needed, you just need to keep the
power cable separate from RCAs and other signal lines.
please dont promote capacitors… they belong in the garbage can unless
your talking about ultra capacitors.
Had a noise suppression issue. Went with MRP-F300 Alpine and works great
Also, is it necessary to connect the amp to the car-door speakers?
A father who hooks up his gear with help from his daughter. I respect that.
I wish my dad was as cool a you man.
The wires at the back the stereo are a very thin gauge and that dilutes the
purpose of using an external amplifier.
No problem, I ended having to swap the amp on mine, turned it

why dont you splice the speaker wires behind the radio instead of running
directly to speaker
You could also use the passengers electronics hole, it is rubbered from the
engine.
Ok thanks
Thanks for sharing.
Hey how did u drill the whole in the fire wall u did it in the inside or
out side
Hole
To test run a speaker directly off of the amp, check it with the car
running and not running to verify its not a electrical issue
Nice install
correct, you must run new wiring when hooking up an amp 16 gauge or lower.
be sure to sheild your rca preouts and keep them away from your power cable
to limit interference. Use ducting tape, it is metallic and will sheild
wiring
ok, I sent a message to your youtube inbox.
did you wire directly from the speakers itself to your 4 channel amp? I
tried wiring from the amp to the head unit and it made my speakers sound
distorted. I am thinking it was because of the low factory wire used. How
would you troubleshoot this issue?
It won’t let me post a link for whatever reason
thanks, you have a link for that?
i’m trying to do this with my 2013 corolla, i’m trying to install a 6
channel amp and a kicker sub (my uncle gave them to me a few years back and
they’ve been collecting dust). Do you have any pointers as far as
installing them is concerned?
Thanks for the video, it helps me a lot!
Kudos
