How To Change A Ford F-150 Cabin Filter 2020 F150 DIY Replace Remove Tutorial

An easy to follow DIY video tutorial on how to replace a cabin filter on a 2020 Ford F-150.

Cabin air filters help enhance the air quality inside your vehicle, creating a healthier, more comfortable environment for you and your passengers. A properly functioning cabin air filter can stop up to 90% of dust, pollen, and spore particles from entering the f-150 passenger compartment.

WHEN SHOULD YOU CHANGE CABIN AIR FILTERS ON YOUR 2020 F150?
Ford Motor Company recommends that you remove and replace this cabin filter every 15,000-20,000 miles.

However, you may want to replace or change the cabin filter more often if:
-You or a frequent passenger suffers from allergies
-You or a frequent passenger has other respiratory problems
-You drive your f150 on dirt roads or in excessively dusty conditions
-You drive your f150 in heavily polluted areas

Super helpful thanks! Made it really easy!

Great video…concise without unnecessary information. Only suggestion I would add would be to note the direction of air flow on the original filter when taking it out since the filters are directional.

what was that black lever thing on the right side of glove box door, mine came off, not sure where it came from ?

Easy peasy! Thanks for the video. My little clips came off when I pulled out the hard plastic tray. They’re small. Don’t lose them.

Thanks for the video. It was helpful.

Thank you so much for posting this. Dealer wanted $126 to replace ours and so saved $100. Now I need to find a place to take my husband to lunch as payment. 🙂

Do NOT let the rubber bushings on the sides fall behind the trim!

What if you only have one F-150 flip key and not two

Thanks for having a camera operator. It’s so aggravating to watch some yayhoo trying to do this with one hand. Cudo’s

Performed 1st change of cabin filter on my 2020 F150 XLT Supercab. Great and through video instructions. Two notes: There were two (2) 7mm screws adjacent to the ones shown on the video. Kind of confusing at first. Also, it being the first filter change, I had to gingerly use pliers to dislodge the plastic trims (very tight). All reinstalled without much effort. Great instructional video! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks brother!

0:31? push it down? Mine is not moving and feels flimsy like I could easily break it if I push much harder. Are you saying push it down??? Looks like you are pulling it up but hard to tell because your hand is in the way.

Leave it to ford to make simple routine maintenance a pain in the ass!
