No. 1/2 to 3/4 turn passed when the rubber o-ring contacts the engine.

Thanks. Loosening the oil cap first helps oil drain better (same as loosening the air cap on a gas can helps the gas pour smoother). I would also suggest using nitrile gloves since used motor oil gets into your skin and is bad for your health – also gives you more grip to tighten the filter. V6 Rav 4 takes 6.4 qts. Good video. Good video and very informative but when you remove the oil filter it still drains from where all the oil first came from. Don’t know if it’s just my car or all but its a 2002 jeep
