Installing HID headlights into a 5th Gen Toyota 4runner. Installing HID headlights for your Toyota off-road vehicle is one of the easiest and best installs you can do. Having great visibility on and off-road is super important. First things first when playing with electrical, disconnect the battery. This time we removed the battery because it allowed us to get the room to install the headlights. Now that we have the room we removed the dust caps and disconnected the old batter. After cutting One-inch holes in the dust caps we slid the new HID wires though. connecting the wires was nice and simple as they thought about preventing installers from mixing up the wires by making the connections impossible to mix up. Our driver side HID headlight didn’t work when we installed it the first time, but, after we reversed the polarity on the bulb it worked fine. What an amazing difference it is between the standard bulbs and these HID.

Great stuff buddy. Those things are super bright. Very well done install as always.
The connector that plugs into the original car light cable goes in both ways. In my case there was no need to remove the housing and reverse the wires. Just plugged it in either way until it worked!
Sweet video and very helpful like always!! I was wondering if you can point me the right way to finding these lights. Seems like the link isn't working correctly? Thanks
Purdy big hole in dust cover…
If you’re not suppose to touch the bulbs with your bare hands, why not wear gloves?
great video!
What kind of lights are you using for your fog lights?
Your lucky it was easy to change out, with my 2010 I had to remove the bumper to remove the headlight unit to change the light.
Couldn’t find link for free stickers lol
How are those for water and mud on the ballast? Could i hit it witb a power washer?
Where do I get the rubber piece for the dust cover ? Doesn’t come with it ?
I just installed these in my 5th gen, they are so bright!! I followed the same steps but on the plug that connects to the stock 4 runner harnesses I just flipped over. I didnt have to swap the wires around. Anyways thanks for the video!! It helped a lot.
So…H11 5000k is the correct ones???
You dont have to pop the pins out to switch polarity, you plug them in the other way and you should be good they make them like that so you dont have to take that extra step and pop them out
I wouldn't trust the guy with the hammer. But the video was great.
Are your fog light hid or led?
Nice when is Toyota gonna switch!
Curious how a dual battery set up there would interfere with the mounting light wires and module on that sidewall?
