It is a little-known fact that Japan's car market is propped up by the government's strict inspection policy. Three years after purchase, every new car has to go through an expensive inspection process, and once every two years after that. Furthermore, vehicles older than 10 years have to pass the inspection every year. As a result, most car owners in Japan write off their cars after 10 years and buy new ones. Hundreds of thousands of perfectly fine automobiles are demolished every year. This practice has been used to boost car sales in Japan and give carmakers advantages to compete in the international market.

What year Camry is being recalled for fuel pump?
I had a 98 Avensis with the 7A-FE 4cyl with 420k km on the odometer and it burned literally no oil, those little 4-bangers are tough so long as you maintain em. I regret selling that car.
It's a good Toyota, I never had a problem with them
I have a 2001 2500HD Silverado with the 8.1L. Has always burned 1 quart of oil per 1,000-1,500 miles driven since the day I bought it, has never increased. Per Chevrolet that is within tolerance. Has 300,000 miles on it all original, no problems with engine/sensors/exhaust….nothing.
Never changed a filter or had pump failure in ford trucks.
Chevy's are better than Toy
