Kyle LaFountaine says:

Whats the second filter for in the filter cousing?

Militarized Citizen says:

No, it doesn’t sound any different. The car is quiet as a church mouse to
begin with.

lambdalambdalambda says:

This was a pain in the ass to open. Why don’t they just use clips like the
Corolla. None of my wrenches fit it, and I have a socket wrench that fit
the bolts, but couldn’t use it in the back one because there’s not enough
space to move it back and forth. I ended up having to use a pliers. Then I
realized the trim on the damn filter I ordered online was just a little too
big, so the case wouldn’t close right.

Stephen Khan says:

Does it sound different while driving? deeper?

Militarized Citizen says:

Local auto parts stores usually have them in stock.

Militarized Citizen says:

No problem.

cali818p says:

how your MPG with k&n

tim allen says:

the housing is suppose to cover everything.I made that mistake with my
camry. Just wiggle it gently until it goes down flush.

Militarized Citizen says:

No doubt. The 4 cylinder does have some good power.

orestesdd says:

I have a 2012 Camry LE. Do you know where I can find the life time air
filter for my model. How can I identify my part number for my camry? Thanks.

Andrew Dawson says:

did the filter come pre oiled or did you have to oil it? and if so was it
hard?

Militarized Citizen says:

All K&N filters come pre-oiled. Also, there are restore kits you can
purchase to clean the lifetime K&N filter and re-oil it.

Militarized Citizen says:

Windy areas can cause a lot of debris to enter the intake. It’s just one of
those things you have to clean from time to time.

Chris S. says:

Aw damn. Alright thanks!

Jay Z says:

Nice video! Where did you purchase the K&N air filter from?

Chris S. says:

Does this K&N filter make the Camry sound a little more aggressive?

Madhu T says:

My socket set can’t remove the inside bolt, handle is too short or can’t
get enough force to turn. can you please suggest the right tool?

Militarized Citizen says:

Search for the part # online at K&N…

Militarized Citizen says:

Yes, but I used a rachet/socket.

Antonio Dexter says:

Hi Buddy: the tool I would need to undo the bolts would then be a metric
10mm wrench? 🙂

karavan1970 says:

I think I know. Today replaced filter and had a problem with rear bolt
since my handle with extension was too short. I used the wrench head with
adapter and 8″ screwdriver 3/8 instead of handle. This is how I had it done.

shovad1 says:

I tried using 10mm metric nutdriver but the bolt was way too tight to take
off. Can you specify what exact tool you used? Yeah its my first time
working on the car, don’t want to pay the dealer.

Slayor721 says:

just opened the air filter box in my dads 08 camry and that shit was full
of leaves n stuff. kinda stumped as to how all of it got their since the
little stock “intake” it has is right by the hood and now behind the grill.
anybody know why that happen? getting him a new filter tomorrow

chewie0872 says:

Mate. Thanks to your video. over the weekend i installed the K&N Filter
onto my 07′ Camry Altise. Everyone had a laugh as its only a ‘boring
4cylinder’ but what an amazing fuel economy and POWER. Thanks again fellas

Militarized Citizen says:

My wife drives it more than I do, but I have seen an increase in MPG of 2-5
miles/gallon, depending on the type of driving.

Militarized Citizen says:

I’m not sure where you’re having problems. Did you figure it out?
