2.2 liter 2001 Camry valve cover gaskets in my humbling experience can use a good bead around the head..that finally stopped the leaks after the second installation. the design is faulty in my opinion because of the cam towers and leak areas prone to no silicone.

I'd use the high temp black that resists oil and grease..apply and wait 24 hrs..my 2.2 5Sfe was happy

Toyota vehicles are the most reliable and easy to fix in this world made by honest people that wanted this cars to actually last you without taking a fortune of you on fixing them during the car’s life time for example some American cars that I previously owned that were a pain in the ass and headaches. So if your thinking on getting a new vehicle go for a Toyota !!!

For the life of me, I cannot find that part at any autozone. Can you send me to where I can order it? thanks in advance!

I have two pieces of advice, if you don't mind, the first one: you'd better not to use a long extension with the torque wrench, that's could affect on the accuracy negatively; use as short as possible. Secondly, you should not use an RTV with this kind of gasket (the rubber one) you have to put a small amount of it ONLY in two spots where the engine head meets the timing cover. Thank you for your time to read my comment and special thanks for you video.

Did u put silicone around the gasket where the spark plugs go or just the edges of the valve cover??

Tania Guzman says:

I have a 2010 toyota camry le 2.5l very similar. I replaced my spark plugs n noticed that one of them has oil but JUST ON THE THREATS. No oil has spilled past that… Do you think that by doing this it will help fix the problem? Btw great video! N thank you for taking the time to do this.

Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.
