Bryan Foreman says:

Do you do work on outside engines? I have a gsxr 1000 and I cracked the
crankcase. Dealerships are trying to rape a man on there prices. I have the
extra cases and I already pulled the engine off the bike

Bryan Foreman says:

Hey Merkur where are you located? Do you do work at your residence? I
cracked my crank case on my 2006 gsxr 1000 . I got new crank cases but the
dealer ship near me in louisiana wants crazy amount to swap them.

Bryan Foreman says:

soon. Thanks Joe

merkur102 says:

@pagey9876 The whole procedure is described in great detail in the factory
service manual. Best if you follow it to the letter with patience & care.
Good luck!

merkur102 says:

@sniper152 Yes I did, check my other videos

merkur102 says:

@pagey9876, Did you check the crank bearing clearance in order to select
the right bearings? Make sure the seat areas are clean when installing.
Recheck the bearing with the hole is in the lower case. Check the thrust
bearing for proper seating. Also torque the case in two steps as per the
factory manual & in the correct sequence. Good luck & let me know if it
works out for you.

pagey9876 says:

@merkur102, on my case it says aaa bbb so thats 3 yellow and 3 black rite?
already had 3 yellows, 2 blacks and the last 1 was unrecognizeable, so i
presume its black? bearings are in correct location, and torqued up in the
correct sequence etc as well as cleaning the surfaces. how do you check the
clearances manually?

pagey9876 says:

crankshaft-case bearings, having trouble moving crank now…turns freely
until i bolt cases together, used the right bearings, any ideas?
