Great Video. Intelligent explanations especially adding on some pipe length
to center the exhaust with the fixed mounting point

burokapunk says:

I went to my local mechanic, there they welded a plate to the original
exhaust, so it is posible to put both my means of a

Fick Dich says:

oh okay thank you 🙂

burokapunk says:

once you have cut the mid pipe, how can you reinstall the stock exhaust?
(mine won’t pass technical inspection) Thanks

lockgiants says:

when i say “i assume his doesn’t have to be done” i am referring to the
removal of the front and rear headers…

allmiller4u says:

@boomlightsout I just took my shop Vac and lightly sucked the shavings out
of the pipe

plainskottii says:

Either weld it, or buy a new exhaust.

tristantao says:

Shavings mean the little metal pieces that falls down the exhaust pipe,
when cutting it. You know when you cut trees, you get saw dust? I was
talking about the metal “shavings” that fall into the exhaust. for the
record, I installed a Scorpion exhaust, didnt even worry about the
shavings, nothing happened. cheers.

tristantao says:

@pittster001 so its safe to just start the bike with the exhaust off, and
shavings down there? I ask because I have an installation coming up 🙂

hey.. thank you so much for the vid!… i have a question… i just bought
a yoshi rs-3c slip on and on the directions it says to replace the old
exhaust port gasket on the front cylinder with a new one… is that
something that needs to be done? in the directions this happens after both
the front and rear headers are removed along with the stock exhaust. I
assume this doesn’t actually need to be done per your explanation…

pittster001 says:

blow them out with engine running before you put slip on on and just listen
to fantastic sound

Fick Dich says:

seriously i dont know what u mean with “shavings” (im from germany) but its
nothing spezial for a engine to start it without any exhaust. It even
sounds AWESOME. there is nothing that sounds better than a bike without
exhaust.

boomlightsout says:

quick question, any problems with metal shavings going into the exhaust?

Devin Koebel says:

Hey man if im buying the slip on delkevic do you have to cut it? or can you
just slide it on?
