When you buy your first Samurai often times it will not come with a soft top. You may have no clue about the parts needed or the steps to correctly install a soft top. If it is below 70° F I put a space heater in the back of my Sammy & top snaps into place nice & easy. Also the slider channels can be adjusted, sometimes they can be too tight or too loose. I like to put the lube on the female part of the snap, any way love your channel keep up the good work….. smok'em if ya gottem

Hey! Love the channel and your site. I recently picked up an 87 Samurai (I had an 88 as my first car eons ago). The top needs to be replaced. Currently it has a discontinued Bestop Sunport (2 piece) top with the targa roof that had the channel piece added to the targa bar. In replacing my top if I opt for a 1 piece, do I need to remove that channel strip, or will it fit over it? Thanks!

Yo me subo a la parte de atrás y de ahí pongo la parte delantera y meto los laterales de pie empujando hacia abajo (buena idea la del jabón, lo probaré) y, sin salir del auto, pongo la varilla trasera, luego ya salgo y pongo todos los botones y hasta me subo al parachoques para estirar la capota, porque cómo carajo cuesta poner todos los botones laterales y traseros!! 😀

Yeah hell yeah!!! I run half top. Which is a old shunken sprint top with back cut off . Been looking for videos of top put on was nothing you did good . Stay safe
