Hey man! I just picked up the exact same levers, clutch side when smooth and easy. However my front brake isn't releasing by itself. I'm almost certain I had the rod lined up properly but it just won't release without me pressing the lever back with my fingers. Haven't even attempted moving the bike yet cause of it lol. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

so i had the same problem, the collar was too big. I tried to take it out with a punch and a hammer but that did not work and i was hammering pretty hard. So here is what i did= I grinded down a saw, the ones that you use on a hack saw. i grinded it just enough so the width could go though the hole. i attachex the lever to a vice and cut the brass collar using the saw nice and slow to make you dont damage the rest. after the cut the collar decompressed and came off really easy…. and i just greased the oem collar and put in the new lever hole

1:58 good tip, it seems to sometimes cause brake lockups while riding (after some heat gets into brake system) if you don't do this step xD

Daniel Crowder says:

my levers don't have the pivot for the brake plunger.

Joshua Cao says:
