Stop with the multi metering bs, just get a hydrometer they're only a few bucks and it's straight forward with knowing if you have enough coolant. If you want to know if it's generally in good condition, well is it green or is it the yellow, orange, red (depends on its make )? Then it's good! Why do modern people want to over complicate things?!
I call bs… The coolant IS touching ground. There's no source of potential to measure from ground-to-ground. Also…Conductance (measured in Siemens) is the reciprocal of resistance (measured in ohms). And still, this makes no sense.

Bought my 2008 honda civic in 2012 used with 1 owner plus me. Ac runs cold everything works great except the coolant levels. I recently changed the water pump, change the oil, changed all tyres changed the suspensions gave it a new color. The mileage is at 249266 (788.8miles).
On nov 9 th my mechanic did the radiator/ reservoir drain and filled new coolant in my suzuki s presso. He used 1.5 litre of distilled water and about. 900 ml coolant to fill and he started the engine for a while then said its done and gave me half a bottle of distilled water to take home to refill. As he did not specify when to refill (my home is 2 km away from workshop ) i did not check it and after 3 days i took the car for a 60 km drive (30 km up and down with 2 hr break ) the next day of my trip i checked the coolant level and radiator and found reservoir level at Low and no visible water in the radiator. I had to fill about 450 ml each on both tanks to bring to the Full level. The Suzuki s presso coolant capacity is total 3.7 litters in paper and the mechanic and me together filled about 3.3 liter and after a few more short trips its not filled with that balance 400 liters yet !. My worry is that did i do any harm to the engine by driving 60 kms with 900 ml short of coolant? I did not get any warning light or overheated engine. Any harm to the head gasket / pistons etc etc.? Please help for my peace of mind

The voltage on my coolant was low, so I just added a cup of battery acid to the reservoir and now my radiator it is fully charged.
What would cause the coolant to be below .2 volts?
And could that same reason be for it to be .4+?

The only reason I change my coolant is when I have a coolant leak and I have to replace a hose, or radiator or a thermostat or water pump
For 400k miles, everything under the hood looks pretty new. Must have replaced damn near everything.
