DIY Throttle Body Cleaning Suzuki Forenza

DIY Throttle Body Cleaning Suzuki Forenza

I’m working on a 2004 Suzuki Forenza. All this car needed was a good tune-up and it was back on the road, running great again. Regular cleaning of the throttle body helps cure rough idling and improves engine responsiveness. Use special ‘throttle body cleaner’ if you don’t know the material your throttle body is made from.

Super helpful and informative. I want to do this on my car but I'm a little nervous since all I know how to do is change the oil and replace a tire!

Do you know the iac relearn procedure of hand? I have a Optra 04. And i just cleaned my throttle plate. But now my idle is high, About 1500. I also pulled the codes that tell my that my idle is high, and that i have a air leak. I did near every relearn procedure that could find; and none of them work. So i'm taking it to the shop. I don't want to have to pay a guy 60 every time i unplug the battery.

Regarding that Intake Temperature Sensor (IAT) plug you remove at the very beginning; you do not have to pry off that metal clip. It is a quick release plug where you squeeze the clip inwards and pull it off, no tools needed.
Oh, and I noticed you switched out your coolant from that dreadful Dex-Cool. Good call! I had to replace my radiator, as it turned into a thick brown sludge and clogged it all up.
Good job and great video, thanks!

Is this the M16A engine? Is the process similar for a Suzuki Liana/Aerio?

Great video.but what rpm was the engine on after you've put the throttle body back?
Because my father has a 12 optra which it's the same to forenza but diffrent names 😛 after we cleaned the throttle body the rpm was on 2500 then we had to buy a new one

can you let me know where you got the throttle gasket. I found 2 different ones online but one is 4by6 and the other is 7by 8 and both say that fit my 2005 Suzuki forenza. but how is that possible when they're 2 different dimensions and the throttle body is roughly 4 inches by 4 inches. it just doesn't add up please help
