Hello 88bmyvegas,
I have a 2007 Suzuki Reno. My engine light is on and the engine code is: P2135. The entire throttle body needs to be replaced. It cost about $426 to get the throttle body and gasket. I am going to do the install myself. Could you upload a video that shows you performing all of the steps you listed is this video? I have tried to find videos that show the removal and install of a throttle body for my car. But, your video comes the closest. Greatly appreciated.
if you are ok with cleaning it every month then you don’t have to buy a new throttle body. it is very expensive from the dealer, about $500-$700, I think. I would just do the same thing as you. thanks for the comment and have a nice day.
For now, about once a month I have been taking my air intake off and using carb cleaner to clean the butterfly valve and that has stopped my check engine light problems. The car runs much smoother after that. Eventually it gets gummed up again.
all I can think of is Ebay. But I suggest to get a new one from the dealer.
Where can you get a new or refurbished throttle body?
