This is sound advice. Something as insignificant as an incorrectly installed seal can cause hundred of dollars worth of damage. Eons ago I a purchased a new cars driven by a cable transmission to a hydro transmission. Mechanic never realized that the half shaft was slightly bigger and needed a new seal and installed it .$800 transmission damaged because it leaks fluid
