I really love your channel. I had another question if you knew if the 2020 STI had a different oil pickup revision or if I should be worried about the long term reliability of my oil pickup. I'm debating upgrading but I can't find anything online about any revisions to to VA oil pickup.
Never can catch live. Q: Ghost DET. Everything checks out, car feels fine. IAG checked no problems found. Said they lowered the Knock Sensitivity in the effected range on AP. Now years later I'm tuning on Open-source ECU flash and the "ghost DET" needs tuned out of the knock sensor again. What parameters need adjusted. 07 Foz Xt. Ghost DET only at low load, no boost. 1k-3k rpm.
Steelman Chassis Ears are a little more money than diy det cans but are very easy use especially when street tuning. Also I have used them to identify other failing components such as suspension, waterpumps, injectors etc. Totally worth the money

Looking to upgrade a stock 2018 StI with turbo back and intake , along with 1050 injectors and a 340 fuel pump. Are fuel rails/lines of any benefit at this point or just after going to a bigger turbo and FMIC at some point along with a fuel pressure reg?
What’s your opinion on golden heat wrap around a upgraded top mount intercooler? And what else would you wrap in this golden heat wrap?
What’s your thoughts on thermo wraps on the turbo hot side?
