I have the same car with manual transmission. It’s been reliable and I haven’t had any issues.
I live in Duluth MN and it seems like most people have owned a Subaru or do own one. They are a really good value. I just bought a Forester because it is good for hauling around my elderly parents. It is excellent quality. The Japanese companies are very conservative in engineering and design so no nasty surprises.
I was Abel to reset all codes with my blue driver I disconnected my battery
How's the transmission on it?
I sold subarue for many years. They were towed to dealership with some malfunction even fairly new. I will go Toyota anytime vs Subaru. Toyota have stocks in Subaru,. however,.

I am not a sheep nor gullable to follow everything this guy says:. One day he says I wouldn't buy anything other than Toyota. May be Toyota decided to give him no money anymore. Do you often he has a can of useless additives which in my opinion not only waste of money but they don't work. Come on Scotty you're better than that!

What does this Crosstrek have to do with a Toyota?
2023 Subaru Crosstreks with the 6 Speed Manual was the last year model year. I bought one a year ago. No Eyesight in the windshield, and no CVT. About $7000+ savings. Why pay $35,000+ for a Toyota when you can get a Subaru for $26,000. Nice ground clearance.
Just have to thank you again Scotty for the Subaru review.. I work at the plant in Indiana so all the honest advice you share here I take to the engineers when possible. Maybe one day they will take the advice.. lol .. Be on the lookout for the new crosstrek wilderness.. Thanks again.. God bless
I rode in a brand new Subaru the other day, it was a smooth ride,but I didn't like how it would shut down at say a red light then start back up. That's a terrible design.
You did not need AAA to open that Honda. All you needed to do was jack the car up, and apply voltage, from another battery, to the starter solinoid terminal. That will energize the electrical system so you can get into the car. No need for AAA.
Got a 19 Outback. Best car I ever got. It has 98K and runs like the day I got it. Would never buy anything else.
On my 2013 Crosstrek if you leave the key in the ignition you can drain the battery but all is fine if you remove the key. Thanks Scotty

I drive mainly Toyotas but had a Subaru once and loved it. The only thing I didn’t like they don’t like sub zero temps. Starting it in the garage at home was no problem but after sitting at work for 8 hours I sometimes wondered if it would start. What made me trade it in was that one day when I was starting it the whole dash board and lights lit up. I called the dealership and they said to wait a few days to see if it’s still doing it because most of their cars were doing it. The girl I talked to said my Honda never does that. I said Toyotas don’t either lol. I will say their AWD system is the best.
The 2 higher Crosstrek trims are made in Lafayette, IN. Engines and transmissions are made in Japan. I've gotten 32 mpg highway driving with my '24 Crosstrek Sport 2.5L, staying under 70 mph though. I really like the size of the Crosstrek, it's like a big hatchback rather than a crossover or SUV.
