Now the year for the legacy and outback will vary between regions. Fitment isn’t great at the top but i believe i can trim the clips.

@blancomk6jetta says:

Just curious if you'd know where to just buy the bracket, had a 9" android in my Jetta and I plan on using it in my new to me 2011 Outback

@petermitchell372 says:

So no way to I stall Amp a d subs?

@Hayan_Yeou says:

And mine came with Mcintosh amplifier…. the guys asked me 4000 NZD because apparently Mcintosh is notorious to work on…

@ManoJapa29 says:

I would like to know how to make the steering wheel sound controls work

@sdibbs3054 says:

I just purchased a Android (Hikity) based radio for my 2013 Legacy limited with H&K radio with AMP. NEW radio, plug the speaker harness in to the new radio. The Blue wire with NO RCA end is power for your amp. The blue wire from new radio harness connects to PINK wire from main radio harness from the car. Buy a junction fitting, package $5 and connect the two. BLUE wire radio is connected to Pink wire car harness. .

@subaruLover475 says:

the issue with this is that i really need the radio and rear view camera to work, or else i'd buy this. anyone know other alternatives that would work on a Suburu Legacy 2012 model?

@SteveRand says:

Thanks for the video. It touched on the things I was worried about with these sorts of tablet-based screens;
1) very slow to turn on due to it having to boot every time
2) clunky interface
3) not plug and play (antenna wire etc)
4) fitment issues

@danscullyjr says:

Did you need to plug in the ground wire from the car?

I’m having an issue, the unit turns on when the accessories are in but when the engine turns on the unit cuts off

@BrianPhillips95 says:

Not sure if you still look at comments, but I just installed a similar EKIY stereo in my 2010 outback.

Same as yours, only one of the three cables fit – I left the ground and SWC cables.

Weird behaviour – works when in accessory mode but once I power the car up, it doesn’t work. Also in ACC mode, doesn’t seem to let me map SWC. Any thoughts or suggestions? Not sure if these two problems may be related?

@CamperPrius says:

Do you know which works with 2011 outback, Harmon kardon speaker, no nav? Thank you

@adalbertorosa1015 says:

Hi johon I have a 10 legacy gt and I need more I for as my car has the built in amplifier Harmon kardon so witch one I should get for my car please respond thank you

@danielc5784 says:

How was the sound quality compared to the original bluetooth in the car?

@macmanwa says:

I installed on of these in my outback today and all in all the unit is great. When using just he bluetooth connection to play music the equalizer settings are applied, when I go to Apple CarPlay they are ignored – everything sounds tinny… Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks!!!!

@JustinSlanina-y7z says:

Hi There, Great Video. My unit works great when the car is not actually started. Every time I start the car the screen turns off. What is the best way to fix this issue? Thanks!

@DueLosGaming says:

were you guys able to find out what the other cables were meant for?

@Buy_My_Raptor says:

Think you could get a brushed look with scotch brite on the panels to help it tie in?

@barneyguyett9504 says:

i also have 2014 outback harmon kardon. does this work for us. plug and play. what else do i need to use backup camera, AM/FM and balance for my speakers? any help would be great

@tjwilli5438 says:

So there’s no radio anymore?

@cullen1773 says:

The TPMS sensor link is broken, the item on eBay must be out of stock or not available for purchase any longer. Can you link one that’s functioning?

@russellhenning116 says:

I have a big gap at the top and the clips are showing. But everything is plugged in and works great. Just cant get that top to fit in..

@DoofensmurtzEvilInc says:

Were you able to fix the top gap? I’m having the same issue with my aftermarket head unit where there’s a gap at the top with some clips showing.

@noaheldridge2604 says:

Is this plug and play with stock amp?

@drewgustason4247 says:

hey man I was wondering if you know if I need any additional harness for my Harmon/Kardon system? I just got one ordered and just wanted to be prepared. this unit didn't say it wasn't compatible. great video thanks man

@ItsMe-oi9dy says:

The tiny din pocket is a massive turn off from the double din pocket with door, especially as wasn't required to be removed if they just spent 10 more seconds planning the panel. No idea why they decided they needed to include an entire face kit instead of a mountable unit inside the existing double din hole either – the entire unit sticks out from the face panel so why bother making a new one anyway
