Why don’t you move the headunit up instead of sacrificing your safety. It’d
still be in the way with my idea but its better

dai c says:

the cup holder is fine but im in the uk so we don’t use gallon cups

Levi Johnson says:

The ones where you have to stop… Who gave you a license?

lancerooke says:

“Emergency” brakes will not do you any good if your brakes fail. Ask any
mechanic. That’s why a better word to describe would be “parking brake.”
Because that’s what the parking brake is for. But if you don’t believe me,
I suggest you disable your brakes and try using your parking brake
instead….. But DO make sure your air bags are up to date. Cheerio!

lancerooke says:

And exactly what “emergency” is that brake useful for?

lancerooke says:

Why? The parking brake is almost completely unnecessary in an automatic
vehicle. There’s never an emergency that calls for it. If you’re going to
park on a steep hill and you want the ever so slight insurance from the
e-brake, just pull out your cup holder. No big deal. Although I personally
have never found a need to pull the e-brake.

lancerooke says:

You pull the cup holder out before the inspection. Duh…

Chris Senior says:

you have wasted a day of your life fu*cking about with mdf in ya garage.to
make a pointless handbrake blocker!

DegoDommy12 says:

idk dude. i think id rather buy a replacement from subaru, rather than
obscure my e-brake. plus it doesnt look very attractive. its a good idea,
but i dont think its wortth it. nice creation though.

jethrowomber says:

this is a nice diy…..but for me no cups with lids only bottles with caps
in my ride

afghanirice says:

You’d rather have a huge super gulp drink block your Ebrake than have it
block your HVAC! In an emergency, which do you go for first? Heater or
Ebrake? And those cup holders arnt designed for 7-11 cups! Typical fat ass
with his 64oz coke! lol SMH

Michael Sackstein says:

Much better design but not a good idea if it blocks your parking brake. You
should always have clear access to that at all times, in case the
unexpected happens!

NathanaelFaunce says:

Good idea for an auto. Unfortunately, mine is a 5 speed.

welderMTL says:
