Very good video man my forester has same code. It came about in the hiway when i went hunting last week. At the hunt i almost couldnt start my car it was cranking for about 5 secs. Scared the hell out of me although it has not had any rough driving yet i will repkace it today or tomorrow. Double thumd up dude!

Where did you get the replacement part and what brand is it? All the local parts stores are asking over $100 for this part and i am finding plenty online ranging from $20-80$ but none from known brands and not sure if they will be reliable or not.

Why not test the solenoid before removing and replacing it? With this issue it may be the pressure switch or the solenoid and you're just guessing by replacing it. Especially if it is an intermittent issue the CEL may go away and make it appear fixed when it isn't.

You are correct about not many videos on P0026. It a slightly harder job doing the P0026 than the P0028. I am waiting for the VVT to arrive and I am glad I saw this video. It confirmed that what I expected for the job was correct and look forward to doing this job.

You can use a 3/8 ratchet, don't have to jump to a 1/2 right away. Just saying. Other than that goog video.

Thank you!! I thought my cv boot was leaking but I couldn't find a tear. After checking my oil level and the effected area I'm almost certain the solenoid is leaking everywhere! Again thank you!
