Thank you! These instructions worked great for the 2019-21 Forester as well.
super helpful, thanks for this video!!!
I would love to modify these to have a MOLLE style attachment. I have 2 kids in car seats, so these would probably never lie flat, but I would LOVE to be able to hook gear to it with carabiners or MOLLE straps. I'm wondering if there is a wire shelf that I can offset from the back and lie perpendicular with the seat.
Very helpful, thanks!
Whats the point of these?
I never ruined a carpet, or the back of a seat in any car in the past 30 years.
A protector to protect the protective carpet?
Thank you for doing this video. It continues to apply to the 2019 parts and the 2019 Subaru Touring model. This was very important since no directions came with the protectors. That said, the upholstered flap to which the final long, narrow piece attaches, needs to overlap on top of the backseat protectors before you attach this piece. Otherwise, the seat catches on the long protector piece as you raise the seats back into their original position.
A knife is an entirely wrong tool to use for this.
Subaru dealer installed mine and installed them too low to fit around the openings in the back of the seats. They seemed to be trying to line up the velcro with the lower fuzzy blue material and not the (as in this video) lighter upholstery material near the top of the seat. (Better adhesion? Less damage? Error?) The end result is that you can see an inch or two of the blue upholstery fabric and the elastic bands, having to stretch further, dig into the upholstery. When go back am expecting the, "It's supposed to be installed that way, because . . . )Any insights? Thanks.

wow you made it so easy! took more time to watch the video than install, thanks!
Cool and useful feature for those of us who actually use the cargo area. Wish other manufacturers offered this option. Thank you!
