Hahaha 3/15 punch, it is a 3/16" punch or 5mm

fa_flatout _ says:

Anyone attempting this in 2021. Use a 1/8 punch to punch out the smaller pin and then a 3/16 punch to punch out the bigger pin. Take ur time with this one can get frustrating.

Angry Nate says:

Took me 3 days to get that dang roll pin out

Angry Nate says:

Well, killed my 17mm socket on the first transmission bracket bolt, guess Ill try another day

For anyone watching and doing the install read this
Took me an hour or so to figure it out but here is a tip for getting that shit screw off the top of the guard plate. Wish I knew this prior install would have been only 1.5 hours. So you’ll need a long flexible head 3/8 ratchet and a short 12mm 3/8 socket. Reaching from the rear side place the socket onto the bolt (you have to feel for it you can’t seee shit) then from the engine side of the the plate (other side) reach over the top with the long flex head ratchet, use your other hand from the rear to push the ratchet onto the socket BAM more than enough room to take it off I was so pissed and relieved when I figured this out after fuckin my hands up with a damn box wrench. Also for the roll pin use a smaller punch to knock out the smaller pin first then the 5mm to knock the bigger OMG so much easier took 2 sec
Anyways there yah go

3.5 hours later ….. fuck that top bolt and fuck that roll pin

Mmmhmmm says:

What’s the torque specs for the transmission bracket bolts ? And is it safe for the tranny to shift like that ?

frankiet39 says:

Just installed this. Shifting is way better. I used two washers on the shifter cover plate to give it a bit more clearance. I used the smallest ratchet possible to get the top 12mm bolt from the cover

Honey Rattan says:

do we need a transmission support jack while taking the mount off?

Balut_25 says:

Is it safe to remove the transmission mounts? I see that the whole trans moved after you unlosen the bolts.

BIG BEAR says:

Anyone have problems after installing this part? My reverse lights don't work at times. I go into reverse and my reverse lights won't get triggered. I have to wiggle the shifter a bit or push it to the right pretty forcefully and then they'll come on. Idk if I should just remove this thing.

nofearastig says:

is the Boomba shift plate compatible with the Perrin shifter bushing?? i heard that the Whole is little bit small….
