Russell Booth says:

The Chevy LS1 in my car went the other way,I changed the oil pan gasket
which is an o – ring type gasket which also seals off the main oil supply
for the engine, this flattened gasket flattened out so was leaking oil
therefore the engine may have not been getting full oil pressure but a
lifter became noisy when the engine was warm, adding liqui-moly tappet
noise stop has minimized the noise and I believe the lifters, etc may not
have been operating fully and the fresh oil has disturbed something.

rock auto is where i got mine, if you can’t find parts go to the dealer.
they have access to everything

adb140275 says:

no you don’t

adb140275 says:

isnt dad’s mazda a ranger anyhow? or is it one of those prehistoric mazdas

adb140275 says:

have fun in the past

Cap10323 says:

Wow man, Good to see you make a video again!

1972FordF150 says:

It’s a Japanese Mazda, not a undercover ranger. Most everything under the
hood is in Japanese lol. I hate driving that thing, and I absolutely REFUSE
to drive my mom’s 97 626,(partly a Ford) piece of shit that car is.

Compwhiz128 says:

scottykilmer would recomend the use of at205, which from what i’ve read
softens seals and allows them to work again :O! unsure of its reliability
tho. D:

igammie says:

Do you remember where you got the full gasket set? Rock Auto only seems to
have the shaft one. I’m looking for a EJ22… TIA

1972FordF150 says:

Oh I am, I love carbureted rich running V8’s with no catalytic converters.
How much does that little subaru weigh? mine weighs 4,360 at the scales!
douchebag.

1972FordF150 says:

Ford V8 FE engines. I don’t deal with this jap crap. I’m sure my dads Mazda
pickup truck has some sort of seal in the oil pump, but that’s not that
crap I like to work on, or care to work on. V8 for me only.

1972FordF150 says:

Vehicle weight has a pretty big impact on how a vehicle gets up and goes, I
like being able to crawl up in the engine bay of my truck and be able to
sit there with the engine and work on it. With this new shit they make now
days you can’t hardly put a piece of paper in there and close the hood. I
find it funny, around here there’s tons 40 year old + trucks still running
the original engines and transmissions. Now days most cars can’t go 10
years without an engine or transmission rebuild. Pitiful

adb140275 says:

2600 curb weight but who honestly cares what a vehicle weighs. for the
record the my wagon doesnt have cats either

adb140275 says:

that would never bring back a 21 year old rock hard shaft seal.

ontherun987 says:

Where did you get the gasket set?

SubaruXT6 says:

hmmm i wonder if this would work for my XT6. quiets down after warming up
though. ER27 is an EA82 and a half.

adb140275 says:

go back in my videos and watch the one i have of cold lifter tick, thats
when its at its worst. mine only went away very rarely, it ticked most of
the time nonstop. if it as the same oil pump driven by a timing belt,
which, from what i’ve read it does, then yea it’ll fix it.

Alex berry says:

Did you have to empty the engine of its oil? i didnt hear you say anything
about it.

1972FordF150 says:

I’ve never seen such a stupid design for an oil pump in my life, an oil
seal on the oil pump? never dealt with anything like that before.
