this wont work on the heat shield on the top side of the exhaust manifold?
or will it? and if i remove the top header heat shield what could it affect
other than heating electrical wires?

my Dodge 2008 Ram started to present these noises since 1 month. How do I
know if the Cat-converter is broken ? or it isn’t stable enough. Weird
though, yesterday the noise disappeared 0_o !!

I’m so grateful, I could climb through my computer and kiss you! It was
simple and easy… and it totally solved the uber annoying rattle. Now all
I hear is “bliss”. If a girl with zero automotive skill can do it people,
anyone can.

I feel like mine is similar to this, but i hear it coming from the muffler.
It usually sounds off during idle or at least under 2kRPMs.

Mike Miano says:

So I went to the Ford repair center and the only problem they found with my
car was that there was a rattle caused by a exhaust bracket. I’m sure they
would charge $100 plus to fix this so I thought I would fix it myself. I
have literally been waiting for an ETCG vid about rattling exhaust systems
and after seeing this I now have the confidence to do it myself. Christmas
came early! Thanks Eric the car guy!

Benjamin Horn says:

windywindy says:

OH SHIEEET i did the same thing with my cat heat shield

Eric Poirier says:

Thanks, i’d already checked those, it’s coming from the front bumper
assembly, possibly a fog light or the lower valance itself… Problem is, i
can’t get anything to rattle unless i’m driving, and even then it’s not at
every bump.

Sean says:

The bracket is already bottomed out (tight as it will go). It’s rattling
because the metal has stretched over the years from constant
heating/cooling and vibration.

thumasta666 says:

i meant to say 200,000 km, not miles, sry im from canada, and the engine
was compression and oil pressure tested from the wreckers.

Saajan Bakshi says:

I have a 2008 Ford Mustang V6 that rattles at idle and makes vibrating
sounds when putting it into drive. I’m told nothing is wrong with it but
that is crap, I have 62k miles

switchest26 says:

my back muffler had a shield on it..and it came off whilst driving
about..scared the crap out of me as at first i diddnt know what it
was…..my next car..I just ripped it off as Vauxhalls often have rusty
exhausts

Josh Swannack says:

Just grind the exhaust off at the header for an instant mod! Then take it
up skyhill.

nandiito says:
