After paying over $75 at the dealer-including $49 in labor costs- I finally
figured out I could do this myself! This video helped and it was sweet of
them to do it. I did have to do more research however and discovered one
little trick he didn’t mention. To pull the glove box out you need to
squeeze in on the sides of the glovebox. Now that I know how I can do the
whole process in about 5 minutes or less. Saving $49 in labor and another
$15 buying the part myself. FYI- I am NOT mechanically s

Excellent so great to see that a dealer actually shows a customer how to
replace the cabin air filter, that is if the customer whats to attempt it.
The owners manual from what I can see does not give you that little detail
about pulling the side cover off. Again thanks, wish we had a great dealer
around like you in Southern California, looking forward into viewing your
other videos.

Bought the filter for $16 and took me about 10 minutes. Here are a couple
of tips for a 2008 Outback not in the video: -After removing the side
panel, releasing the string and squeezing the sides, there is a plastic
screw on the right in the area opened up after taking off the side panel;
-Once the glove box is out, there are 5 more plastic screws (just loosen
and pop out with a flathead -Remove the compartment where the manuals
sit-squeezet the 4 tabs and remove. good to go. Thx 4 the vid

Wow – I would never expect a dealership to show customers how to do their
