@ethosflux Once the OEM heat shield is cut it becomes dramatically less
effective than our aftermarket unit, The big other benefit of ours is that
it fits any downpipe/turbo in a stock location so you can grow your vehicle
and still use our heatshield perfectly! 🙂 Will

I just cut my factory OEM heatshield, wonder if I should get this instead.

Chris Dimes says:

nice vid will

William Barnett says:

@xrxhomeboyxrx We do in most cases, there are some location turbos i.e
rotated mount set ups that cannot use this shield, in this case a turbo
“blanket” may be better suited. Will

backmeier1 says:

You must have little Asian man hands. This thing is a pain in the ass to
install. I wish I would have just got a turbo blanket. Any normal person
has to remove the intercooler.

Al Arreola says:

I’m guessing I have to reuse the heat shield pieces off the stock downpipe
and place it on new downpipe to work

GrimmSpeed says:

Yes it is definitely tricky with the TMIC still on, especially if you have
an upgraded larger TMIC. I personally just remove the top mount myself, but
it canbe done both ways. -Matt Homes

Al Arreola says:

Yeah I seen it ,appears to be 44.00 for both upper and lower pieces ..man I
hope I can locate my stock downpipe to take shields off and I didn’t
receive the three bolts with my heat shield ..thanks

xrxhomeboyxrx says:

do u recommend this over “heat jackets”

KaZpa777 says:

lol only reason i ask is because im Caleb Von Grimm lol and my uncle has a
shop called GrimmSpeed lol xD

MarttyGee says:

Take the intercooler off guys, don,t struggle like this dude. (Let the dog
see the rabbit)

justin grimm says:

“Charles Grimm??” ?? You maybe thinking of Justin Grimm, the Grimm in
GrimmSpeed!! -Matt Homes

David Coca says:

Ok I have a 2002 wrx wagon and im trying to install a perrin heat shield
since the turbos oem one is missing. The only problem im having is i cannot
find were you bolt the perrin shield to so i dunno if im missing some oem
bracket that’s supposed to be there and is not. Any advice would be helpful
Thanks

Hitmanlaw says:

clean… very good

Chris Spano says:

Take off the intercooler bro, its 3 nuts a hose clamp the vacuum nipple and
a small hose clamp. Easy.

KaZpa777 says:

Charles Grimm???

GrimmSpeed says:

Yes, there are two heat shield brackets. You will need both of them to
securely mount our heat shield. We do sell them, and we also have the OEM
part numbers listed on our site under that product as well.

William Barnett says:

@TehShawGui Thanks man! -Will
