How much cost all that if may i ask

Lery Miza says:

Thank you thank you very much!!! your expertise with such a clear explanation is worth your time in gold!!

RC Hobbyist Extreme says:

I have a 2010 Forester. Strange you never ran the engine on a scope or Aultel to prove the issue. Like you said, its pretty much a given they leak oil and the tubes leak. I myself prefer to take a known good plu wire and test first. A misfire could be an issue with head gasket also but hey. I know that Subies have inherited problems but I have driven a few to the point the frame fell off and the motor still runs. I prefer the old carborated models but those days are long gone. Subaru owners usually understand their cars will have issues, its just we know that they will run forever with proper maintenance and replacing gaskets on them is the beast behind the beauty.

driver side tests both your patience and endurance

impactbluev says:

its not a bad design its mostly inferior rubber tube seals that are the problem

Adrian Otero says:

is it easier working from underneath to do this job?

Jay Scott ANDERSON says:

21:47 My spark plug tube seals need replacing too. What four letter words did you use to get the valve covers out?

DJ R says:

Not an easy job. Those horizontally opposed Subaru engines stink to work on. Poor design to have an oil leak at that mileage and they are notorious for head gasket failures too.

Hoopty_ Medic says:

Hey Jim, Lol!, you didn't cuss out any Subaru Engineers did you? Fantastic video and thanks for the lesson.

Jaime Sustaita says:

lucky for you though, u have two legs to stand on, I do the same work but on only one leg.

Jaime Sustaita says:

patience is a virtue Jim, great job

Jaime Sustaita says:

imagine me with my big arms trying to put that darn thing in there.

Jaime Sustaita says:

there has to be a better and faster way to put that sucker in there Jim.

Joe Laplnski says:

I think the law should allow us to prosecute engineers for cruel and unusual punishment. (Ha ha) They could care less about the poor flat rate guy let alone anybody else trying to fix their own car. I steer away from cussing but watching you struggle with that cover l felt for you and wanted to cuss, it brings back bad thoughts about engineers!

david laporte says:

would it be practical to jack up the engine some on the drivers side?  worth the effort? I wish u did not edit all the cussing. u took away some entertainment! lol that engine config. is why I would not own a subie. I live in maine too!

gbowne1 says:

That's the problem I always have with the Inter crap batteries like that one.

JOE FORD DIY says:

that battery was full of acid 2 minutes of hot water and some baking soda and it will look like a new battery.

Bad Drivers of North Texas says:

lol, oil in the dipstick. yes it was as bad as one

CO Jones says:

It's scientifically proven that four letter words lubricate stubborn rusted parts making them easier to get out and distorts the space-time curvature to let parts slip through tight places.
